Trust and Safety

How GoodAvatar keeps generated portraits and videos inside its content policy — AI-only portraits, prompt screening, output moderation, and reporting.
Oct 26, 2026

GoodAvatar generates videos of a speaking person. That capability is easy to abuse, so the product is deliberately narrower than the underlying model. This page states what we accept, what we check, and what we do when something goes wrong.

Only AI-generated portraits

We accept AI-generated portraits and nothing else. Face swap, nudity generation, and intimate-scene composition are not features of this product and have no entry point in the interface.

  • Every upload requires the user to confirm the portrait was produced by an image model. The confirmation is stored together with the account and a fingerprint of the file.
  • Files that carry camera metadata are rejected outright, because they are photographs.
  • Prompts naming real politicians, celebrities, or other public figures are rejected before any model runs, through a blocklist we maintain.
  • The terms of service prohibit uploading or using any real person's likeness, including the user's own.

Screening before generation

Every prompt that drives a model is screened before the model is called. The check runs on all four surfaces: portrait generation, avatar video, voiceover, and music.

  • A request is only allowed to continue when the screening service returns allow.
  • review and block both mean the request does not run; review is retried later rather than bypassed.
  • If the screening service cannot be reached, the request is held rather than generated unchecked.
  • Every verdict — including the outage path — is written to an audit log that we retain.

Moderation of output

Generation runs on a third-party workflow platform that applies its own NSFW moderation to every job, so model output passes a second, independent gate before a user can download it. We also review reported output ourselves.

Reporting and enforcement

If you see generated content that depicts a real person, or that otherwise breaks our rules, email support@goodavatar.dev with the task link. We aim to answer within three business days.

Depending on the finding we may remove the output, suspend the account, and forfeit unused credits. Repeated or deliberate abuse ends the account permanently.

What we do not do

  • We do not offer face swap, deepfake, or "nudify" tools.
  • We do not accept photographs of real people as input, even with consent, because consent does not make a synthetic depiction of a real person acceptable.
  • We do not sell or publish user content.
