About GoodAvatar

GoodAvatar is a pay-as-you-go talking avatar video generator built for short presenter clips without filming.
Oct 23, 2026

GoodAvatar is a talking avatar video generator for people who need a short presenter clip without booking a studio, camera, or actor.

The product is built around a narrow workflow: one portrait, one voice track, one continuous video. You can upload your own image and audio, or generate a portrait and a voiceover inside the create flow. There is no monthly subscription; credits are purchased once and valid for 180 days.

What we are optimizing for

Most avatar tools try to cover every video workflow: avatars, templates, timelines, translations, team workspaces. GoodAvatar is intentionally smaller. We focus on the core job:

  • Keep the input simple: a portrait and a voice track.
  • Generate the whole track in one pass, without stitching.
  • Show the credit estimate before the task starts.
  • Return credits when a generation fails.
  • Make the result easy to download and reuse.

That focus is why the product can stay pay-as-you-go. You are not paying for seats, storage tiers, or features you do not use.

Who builds GoodAvatar

mingogo (shaomingchan)

GoodAvatar is built by Mediafac自动化内容工场 (@medfac_opc). The maker behind it is mingogo (@shaomingchan), an independent developer building small AI web products.

The same maker also builds PanSnap (fridge photo to dinner menu), GoodTrans (document translation), and Animaker (short-form AI video). GoodAvatar is the talking-avatar layer of that toolset.

This is a small, hands-on operation: the product, the generation pipeline, and the guides on this site are built by the same maker. That is why the pages describe real limits, credit costs, and failure handling rather than a generic feature list.

How the product is built

GoodAvatar runs on a Next.js application with a PostgreSQL database and Cloudflare R2 storage. Video generation uses MiniMax H3 through RunningHub; voiceover uses MiniMax text-to-speech. The task system is asynchronous: you can close the page and come back from the task list or an email notification.

We publish the codebase and product updates in the open:
