What is GoodAvatar?

Jun 20, 2026

GoodAvatar is a talking avatar video generator for creators and small teams who want a faster way to make presenter-style clips.

The core workflow is simple: choose one clear portrait, add one voice track, review the credit estimate, then let GoodAvatar prepare the task and deliver a final MP4.

What You Can Create

GoodAvatar is best suited for short videos where a consistent face and clear narration make the message easier to understand:

  • Product explainers and launch notes
  • Course intros and lesson summaries
  • Sales follow-up videos
  • Help center walkthroughs
  • Social clips from repeatable scripts

The Two Creation Paths

You can start with your own assets:

  1. Upload a JPG or PNG portrait.
  2. Upload an MP3 or WAV audio file.
  3. Submit the task and track progress.

Or you can use the built-in helpers:

  1. Generate a portrait from a short prompt.
  2. Turn a script into voice with text to speech.
  3. Use those assets for the avatar video task.

The current workflow keeps AI portrait generation and text to speech inside the create flow. Video credits are reserved for avatar video generation.

How Long Audio Is Handled

Digital avatar providers work best with shorter clips. When audio is longer than the recommended single-clip range, GoodAvatar prepares it with transcription timing and groups it around natural sentence boundaries.

That means the goal is not to cut audio at a random timestamp. The goal is to keep each segment easier to generate, then merge the video segments back into one final file.

How Credits Work

GoodAvatar uses pay-as-you-go credits. New users start with 100 credits, and avatar video generation uses 2 credits per second.

Credits are reserved when a task is created. If a task fails, or if a successful task needs an adjustment based on final duration, the system returns credits according to the refund logic.

A Good First Test

For your first run, use a clear front-facing portrait and 15 to 25 seconds of clean audio. This is long enough to judge quality while keeping the task small and easy to review.

Once the result looks right, you can create longer clips with the same workflow.
